The New Generation of Lynx 2D Hand-Held Readers

Datalogic has improved its offer of 2D hand-held readers with the introduction of its third generation of 2D industrial imagers and the first powered with the new Intel X-Scale microprocessor: the Lynx D432 series.

The new Lynx D432 series is suitable for all 2D code reading applications, such as work-in progress, tracking and quality control in manufacturing environments, shipping and receiving in warehouses, document handling like front desk operations and in healthcare applications.

In addition to the interface capability of the previous models, the new Lynx D432 provides a full standard USB interface that can be configured like a USB Virtual Com or USB Wedge emulation.

A new advanced image capture function enables complete image management, with up to four acquisition options: zoom (from 20% to 200%), image contrast, image brightness (+/-100%) and windowing. Additionally, the captured image can be processed on board or downloaded now in a variety of formats (BMP, TIF or JPG).

The robustness of the new Lynx series has also been improved - it now has higher drop resistance of 1.8m and can function in an extended operating temperature of 0 to 55C.

It is available in two models: the Lynx D432 for standard codes and the Lynx D432E for high resolution codes up to 2 mils linear and 4 mils 2D, typically found on small objects.

Besides these features, the Lynx D432 series has the same well-proven characteristics of the previous models, including intuitive aiming with the five-dot pointer. The VisualSetup configuration software is included in the package.
