KYOCERA MITA EXPANDS COLOUR PRODUCT RANGE WITH FAST AFFORDABLE A3 PRINTER AND MFP

Kyocera Mita, the pioneering document imaging company, today announced the launch of the latest additions to its range of colour printers and copiers. The FS-C8026N colour printer and KM-C2630 multifunction digital copier boast speed, reliability and economy as well as Kyocera Mitas trademark environmental responsibility.

The FS-C8026N is a 26 page per minute single pass colour printer that benefits from Kyocera Mitas unique ECOSYS technology and consequently has a consumables cost of just 2.84 pence per colour page, making it the most cost-effective in its class at 52% less than its nearest rival*. The consumables cost per mono page is just 0.6 pence, so users dont have to pay a premium for printing mono documents on a colour printer. The FS-C8026N generates crisp business quality output at a maximum resolution of 1800dpi and is ideal for in-house production of reports, presentations, spreadsheets and marketing material.

The KM-C2630 is an A3 multifunctional digital copier that has been developed in tandem with the FS-C8026N printer. It acts as a communications hub for the office, capable of handling document digitisation via the scan facility; colour printing and copying; and document dissemination through the optional fax function. Its comprehensive range of finishing options enables users to create impactful booklets, brochures and reports on demand.

Koby Amedume, Marketing Manager at Kyocera Mita, commented: The latest additions to the Kyocera product range will appeal to users looking for a powerful and cost-effective document imaging solution. Colour print on demand is becoming a pre-requisite for corporate and public sector organisations alike as they seek to engage with customers and stakeholders in an eye-catching, easily comprehensible way. Both of the new devices offer fast, flexible output with advanced finishing options that can be tailored to the customers requirements.

A key feature of both the FS-C8026N and KM-C2630 is their fast duplex speed of 24.5 images per minute. This is important in encouraging users to produce documents in duplex, reducing the organisations paper consumption, and speeds the creation of booklets, a major application for both products.

Reduce, re-use, recycle

The two new products have been developed and manufactured with environmental responsibility in mind. In addition to the well-known ECOSYS print technology deployed in the FS-C8026N, which reduces the environmental impact of toner cassettes, Kyocera has used recycled PET resin to construct the fixing unit materials surrounding the roller. Furthermore, the products have been designed to be easily dismantled into their component parts at end of life to aid recycling.

Koby Amedume comments on the importance of environmental awareness at the design stage: At Kyocera we recognise the enormous responsibility that we have to develop products that are environmentally sound throughout their lifecycle. It is no use if a product adds value to our customers when in operation, but negates that value once it reaches the end of its life by causing an environmental disposal hazard. For this reason we incorporate environmental features into the products at the design stage.
