Engenio Information Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of innovative and highly scalable modular storage systems for the open enterprise, today announced that it has broadened its original equipment manufacturer (OEM) agreement with Sun Microsystems, Inc. Under terms of the expanded agreement, Engenio will provide Sun with new modular storage technology and will co-develop future Sun storage products.

The first Sun product to emerge through the new arrangement was announced at Storage Networking World, a leading conference for IT managers, storage architects and infrastructure professionals in Orlando, Florida.
