Datalogic Revenues on the Rise

Datalogic S.p.A., a TechStar-listed company that designs, manufactures and distributes bar code readers and RFID (radio frequency identification) systems, earned consolidated revenues of 102.6 million in the first nine months of 2004.

The group's consolidation structure has changed with respect to last year and now includes Laservall, a recent acquisition that has been consolidated since the third quarter of 2004.

Not including Laservall, Datalogic's revenues for the first nine months of 2004 grew by over 4% compared with the same period last year.

35 million in revenues for the third quarter of 2004 (+15.4% on 3Q03).

Even after adjusting for the new structure of consolidation, revenues for the third quarter of 2004 were up with respect to 3Q03, for what is now the seventh growth quarter in a row.

Sales were especially significant in Italy, Australia and the Far East (Asia and the Pacific), with double digit growth rates.

The Automation division was especially strong this quarter, with revenues of 11.2 million (+8% on 3Q03).

The meeting of the Board of Directors to approve quarterly figures has been set for 12th November 2004.
