Texas Instruments and BearingPoint Announce Alliance Agreement to Assist Companies with RFID Adoption

By teaming with Texas Instruments, BearingPoint can play a key role in the continued market adoption of RFID, said John Cummings, managing director, Global RFID Solutions practice at BearingPoint. Combining Texas Instruments capabilities in RFID technology and BearingPoints strategy and systems integration experience can help companies implement RFID systems to enhance their capabilities. Weve chosen TI as the primary supplier of Electronic Product Code (EPC) Generation 2 tags for customer applications requiring this technology.
This relationship will leverage both firms strengths for enhanced go-to-market and delivery capability. BearingPoint will provide services in consulting, systems integration, assessment, proof-of-concept, test management and program management. Texas Instruments will provide its suite of RFID products as well as competencies in semiconductors, microelectronics engineering and RFID equipment manufacturing experience. Both companies will focus on enhancing market adoption with EPC-related RFID initiatives.
