BlackSpider Signs up Two New Authorised Partners: ANS and OGL

Email security company, BlackSpider Technologies, has signed deals with Associated Network Solutions (ANS) plc and computer services group, OGL, to offer BlackSpider MailControl services to their customers and new business prospects.

ANS, one of the UKs fastest growing technology companies (Sunday Times Tech Track 100), delivers information security, integration and network infrastructure products to clients in the public sector, legal, financial services and education sectors. ANS chose BlackSpider MailControl managed services because of the increasing need of its customers to protect their networks effectively from the threat of email viruses, spam and unwanted content.

We see BlackSpider as the market leader in email security, said Richard Jones, Marketing Manager, ANS. It gives our clients the best available protection against spam, email viruses and harmful content. Because it is a tightly integrated suite of managed services, it also greatly reduces the cost of ownership over in-house security products. Part of ANS business strategy is to offer a strong security portfolio a growing area of concern for all the organisations we work with.

ANS is currently offering customers trials of BlackSpider MailControl. We feel very strongly that if people trial the service, theyll buy into it, says Richard Jones.

OGL is a Hewlett Packard Business Partner and Microsoft Certified Partner and supplies multi-platform administration support systems (hardware and software) to companies across the UK.

OGL will sell BlackSpider MailControl Anti-Virus, Spam and Content Filtering services to its customers. As BlackSpider MailControl is a managed service, OGL will make recurring revenue, rather than a one-off fee from an in-house product sale. There is no hardware or software to install at a customers site and no management resource is needed.

Neil Morris, Director at OGL, said: "We see this service as a vital offering to our customer base. Spam now accounts for over 60% of all email traffic. Three years ago it was less than 10%. It is a serious threat to companies networks and it is essential for us to offer an effective solution to our customers. BlackSpiders product is easy to sell and gives us a fixed monthly revenue."

John Cheney, CEO, BlackSpider Technologies summarised, A managed service is the easiest way for resellers to offer a service that is constantly updated by us and makes them regular income.
