New personalisation service of Indala proximity cards

Databac Group Limited, specialist provider of identification solutions, has signed a reseller agreement with Indala Corporation to provide and support Indala's range of contact and contactless chip readers and cards. The agreement enables Databac to offer a wider choice of products for proximity-based applications, to meet all needs in terms of functionality and budget. Indala's FlexPass, Cotag, Mifare and CX Series readers and cards will be added to the Databac portfolio. Databac's personalisation bureau will offer a new direct card printing service of Indala's FlexPass, Mifare and CX cards, as well as printed adhesive overlays for Cotag proximity tags.

"There is a synergy between Databac and Indala," said Simon Barnes, director of sales, EMEA, at Indala. "Databac offers the expertise and experience in card personalisation that adds value to our product range." Databac managing director Charles Balcomb commented: "Many of our clients are asking for Indala cards by name. Our bureau enables customers to buy any quantity of Indala cards personalised, encoded and ready for use, with the knowledge that we are qualified to support the embedded technology."

Databac's personalisation bureau offers a professional card printing and encoding service. Its production facility can preprint cards with corporate artwork, for personalisation with text and photo by the client at source. Databac also provides all equipment necessary for in-house card printing, including blank cards, cameras, its 32-bit card production software Dataimage and a range of office and direct card printers from Datacard, Eltron, Fargo, Magicard and other printer manufacturers.

Under the terms of the agreement, Databac can now also offer Indala's patented FlexSecur technology, a password-protected and encrypted proximity solution which ties Indala cards to individual Indala readers, bringing a higher level of security than standard 125KHz RF/ID cards and readers.

Databac Group is already a licensed manufacturer of cards incorporating Wiegand Wire and Watermark Magnetics technologies. In addition, it manufactures and supplies a range of magnetic stripe, barcode, smart chip and proximity cards.
