5 October - RFID 4 Retailers

Taking place for the second year, RFID 4 Retailers at the London Marriott in Mayfair is a one day "retails to retailers" conference looking at the short and medium term implications on the use of RFID technology through out the retail supply. Targeted primarily retailers through a series of case studies from those companies at the very forefront of this technology.

With a high level overview of the market from leading analysis house Gartner who among other revelations will explain RFID technology against the Gartner hype curve allowing potential users of the technology the key strategic insight to plan adoption within their organisations. This will be backed up by real world case studies through the various supply chain applications that the technology can benefit through manufacturer and retailer experiences to date.

EPC Global will also be on hand to present the latest developments from the RFID standards body, with consensus reached on the technology standards that vendors are going to adhere too and buyers need to be aware of, this presentation will be a mist attend for any retailers considering making the fundamental upgrade to RFID technology.

Both of these important presentations will be complemented by invaluable feedback and real world experiences from one of the largest manufactures in the world, Kimberly Clark. Mike OShea who is the Director of corporate AutoID/RFID strategies at Kimberly Clark Corp in the US will be making the trip over the Atlantic to explain the logistics and business implications that they have encountered while trialling this technology. Mike will share his considerable experience and knowledge in the space in an open and candid way as well as being able to answer questions from the floor after his presentation.

Moving back into Europe SAP and Checkpoint systems will both be sharing different aspects of the well known Metro project that has been running for some time as well as sharing new data that has emerged from the project will allow the RFID story to be placed in a more European context; and this will be brought even closer to home with the excellent Geoff O'Neill, Director Of Strategic Projects, Woolworths.
