Integrated Security Solution for Mobile Identity

Kobil Systems, the German vendor of security solutions, today announced, that Kobil mIDentity 1.3 is now available. The new version of Kobil`s security solution now offers Single Sign On for additional applications, manual editing of learned password dialogs as well as the chance to restore data in case the Smart Card is damaged or has got lost. In addition, it also supports Suspend Mode. Kobil mIDentity is the only card reader worldwide with integrated Smart Card, Flash memory and mobile company solutions. The device is available in four different versions with varying functional range. Kobil mIDentity users can download the latest software from the Kobil homepage free of charge.

The advanced version 1.3 of Kobil mIDentity also enables Single Sign On for NET applications, Outlook 2003, Windows dial in and web applications with Frames within Frames. Users are now able to manually edit automatically learned password dialogs retrospectively. Also, in case of need, for example when the Smart Card is damaged or has got lost, information encoded in the data safe can now be restored. Users only have to enable Additional Decryption Key (ADK) as an additional certificate in the data encoding when setting up the device. Data restoration works for container encoding on the hard drive as well as for the scalable Flash memory in the mIDentity device.

Kobil mIDentity is an integrated solution as it combines card reader, flash memory and mobile company solutions into one device. As the software is already included, the solution can be used immediately and everywhere without additional driver cd. Customers can conveniently carry the small device on their key rings as it is only 8 cm long and weighs 13 grams. It contains an "E4/high" evaluated, SIM card sized Smart Card and enables various applications like network authentication, Single Sign On, digital signature as well as encoding of E-mails and data with international standards like Triple DES and RSA computer independently. For mobile users it offers the option to save and take along personalized user profiles. The mobile data safe enables users to securely transport their sensitive data through encoding. Electronic signature of E-mails and data ensures authenticity of the sender as well as integrity of the transferred data, as manipulations are unveiled immediately. Confidential data are secured through encoding from being viewed by unauthorised persons.
