NetServices Plc launch disaster recovery reseller channel

Manchester based e-services Internet Service Provider, NetServices Plc, has today announced the launch of a reseller channel for enterprise-wide remote data backup and disaster recovery service.

The channel is aimed at computer networking providers, Internet Service Providers and consultants, to promote and resell the new disaster recovery and backup solutions developed by NetServices and launched earlier this month.

Resellers customers will be able to secure data at a remote site, reducing the risks associated with a catastrophic failure as well as cutting costs and time spent investing in expensive backup technologies and managing the processes.

NetServices office backup and disaster recovery has been developed so that the solution can be used by all businesses from small business users to much larger corporates with multiple sites either in the UK or abroad.

"By launching the reseller channel we are opening up the disaster recovery market and challenging our competitors directly. With our disaster recovery services as well as additional Internet related services our resellers will be able to gain significant new revenue streams whilst providing a first class service at less than one third the cost of any of our competitors," says Mark Vickers, managing director of NetServices.

Members of the NetServices team work directly with the resellers in order to understand customer risks and ensure that the correct backup solution is implemented for the customer.

Data is transferred between the customer and the NetServices data centre using a secure L2TP connection and gateway which removes the need for a leased line between the customer and centre greatly reducing costs. Data is then stored on the customers own servers at the data centre which are in turn backed up either to disk or to a remote site.

All disaster recovery resellers will be given a complete training package when they sign up which will include an intensive training course at the NetServices network operations centre and site visits with senior sales staff.

"Using a network of resellers is a very effective way of promoting our new solutions," said Mark Vickers. "We work very closely with them during the sales process to ensure that they win the business providing either sales training or if required technical backup."

A number of resellers have already signed up with NetServices and will be going live in the next few months.
