Accusys selects transtec as sole European distributor

transtec will become the sole European distributor for the entire RAID and controllers line of the Taiwanese producer Accusys, Inc. Sales will be carried out through transtec's Triple Stor GmbH subsidiary in Tbingen, Germany. In addition, Accusys RAID controllers will be used in storage solutions offered by transtec's British partner Lapistor Ltd.

Accusys is an important manufacturer of RAID controllers and is noted for its innovative solutions. Studies have projected an annual growth rate of 60-percent for this market. "Our co-operation with Accusys will allow transtec to perfectly position in the growth market storage. It is a big step forward for our strategic business area and we will strengthen our cooperation with resellers and OEM partners," said Dieter Weihaar, the CEO of transtec." transtec acquired the German storage specialist Triple Stor in April of 2004, which in the meantime has taken over the sales of transtec storage systems to system houses and resellers.
