Kerio Technologies Appoint Sigma Software Distribution in Next Phase of Channel Development

Kerio Technologies, the Internet security software provider, has announced it has signed Sigma Software Distribution, a specialist distributor of technical and development software. Sigmas broad product portfolio and nationwide customer base, combined with its service reputation and product know how, represents the next stage of Kerios UK channel development.

The partnership with Sigma follows the signing of Interactive Ideas in April, and is the second of three distributors required to complete Kerios channel structure for the UK market. Kerio is now actively looking for a broad-line value added distributor with a security emphasis to become its third and final UK distribution partner.

We feel that three is the right number of distributor partners for the UK channel, and ensures against over distribution, channel conflict, and margin erosion, explained Joseph Weisz, UK Channel Manager, Kerio. Sigma offers us the product platform, market reach and product knowledge we can only get from a specialist distributor.

We are delighted to add Kerios product line to our portfolio, added Sigma Sales Manager, Lesley Briddock. We have carefully selected all our software partners based on product quality, technical merit and demand in the marketplace and resellers can rely on full lifecycle support when they work with us.

In addition to signing a third distributor, Kerio is also planning to launch a reseller accreditation programme to assist in galvanising its burgeoning reseller channel and is looking for a broad base of resellers who will have access to its product portfolio. In addition to these, Kerio is planning to appoint around 40 Preferred Business Partner resellers who will receive preferential business benefits including training, and enhanced technical and marketing support.

Weisz concludes, The programme is designed to be channel friendly in that it allows resellers to choose the level of commitment they want to put into the relationship. The greater the commitment the greater the benefits its as simple as that. Resellers will get access to our product portfolio and our standard support package while Preferred Business Partners will receive additional benefits including lead generation and margin advantages.
