The new compact KODAK i30 and i40 Scanners have been designed for front or back office applications. The latest additions to Kodaks award-winning scanner portfolio boast a host of new features aimed at improving archiving and document management efficiency.
New image quality standards
Kodak Document Imagings Hauke Fast told IT Reseller Magazine: The i30 and i40 set new image quality standards in this segment. These scanners are perfect for dealing with a wide range of documents including receipts, prescriptions and contracts.
Our integrated PerfectPage with iThresholding image processing technology is unique to the market and includes state of the art features to facilitate automatic scanning of a comprehensive array of documents, regardless of colour and contrast challenges.
Even mixed documents can be scanned without the need to change settings.
And importantly customers need no special training. Documents can simply be loaded and PerfectPage enabled. The user doesnt need to make adjustments or worry about whether the document is straight or low contrast.
The PerfectPage Technology will operate at full scanning speed and drive the productivity of the scanners to a maximum.
The result is an increased readability and character recognition of scanned documents. Time consuming rescans are virtually eliminated
Easy to use functionality
Lois Lebegue, General Manager, Kodak Document Imaging, EAMER said: The i30 and i40 have small footprints and can be used in standalone or decentralized locations. They are simple to operate, provide unprecedented image quality and represent real value for money.
Even novice users will find them easy to use as all PerfectPage features such as paper size detection, cropping, deskew, multi-feed detection and intelligent thresholding are standard and fully automated.
The i30 and i40 ship with a USB 2.0 interface and cable for convenient Plug and Play installations. The scanners also bundle with a USB 2.0 card for customers without USB connectivity.
The Speed You Need
The new i30 Scanner supports scanning speeds up to 25ppm in mono and full colour (at 200 dpi single-sided) The KODAK i40 Scanner can scan both sides of a document simultaneously at up to 50ipm in mono and colour.
And the document feeder, with its capacity of up to 50 DIN A4 sheets, prevents jamming and smoothly feeds a wide variety of documents.
Added Fast: Now the customer has a real choice in this marketplace. There is no longer any requirement to buy a duplex machine if the business workflow shows the user only needs to scan one-sided documents.
Scan-to-PDF
Innovative software (ReadIRIS Pro Corporate Edition V8) enables scan-to-PDF capability and makes searching for textual information easy in scanned documents.
PDF files can be shared over the network or uploaded to the internet.
Both scanners are bundled with KODAK Capture Software, Lite, a powerful capture programme for workgroup applications. They offer 600 dpi resolution, can scan up to 1000 pages per day, are VRS compatible and support a wide range of scanning applications with the bundled TWAIN and ISIS drivers developed by Kodak.
Worry-Free Warranty
The new scanners have a 1 year European Warranty with advanced unit replacement and 5-day response time as standard. Customers have the option of a 3 year warranty upgrade with a next-business day response time.
