PAXAR LAUNCHES INNOVATIVE MOBILE PRINTER TECHNOLOGIES AT RETAIL

On 810 June 2004, Paxar UK (Paxar), the worlds leading manufacturer of apparel labelling and identification products, will be exhibiting an innovative range of hi-tech printers designed to reduce store operating expenses, streamline existing business processes and boost profits at leading grocers and retailers.

The mobile printing solutions have been selected from the suite of Paxar technology products, and will be on show at Retail Solutions 2004, at the NEC in Birmingham.  RFID Label Printer Monarch 9855 RFID
A leading edge tabletop printer, the Monarch 9855 RFID is capable of writing to UHF devices at both US (915 MHz) and European (866-868 MHz) frequencies. This same printer, exhibited by Paxar at EPCglobals Making RFID a Reality conference, on 28th April 2004, was well-received by those who attended.

 IP- Addressable Printer Monarch 9460PXIP
The Monarch 9460PXIP boosts retail productivity; this portable barcode tag and label printer has its own unique IP (Internet Protocol) address. This improves the printers productivity by enabling data to be transferred directly between the printer and any retail terminal, eliminating the need to have all data transmissions relayed through a network terminal and then transmitted using a cable or separate RF link. Weighing less than one kilogram, it is a very lightweight practical portable printing solution with easy drop-in supplies and a robust clamshell construction; it can even survive a 900mm drop test.

 Monarch Pathfinders MO6032 and the MO6037
The Monarch Pathfinder, is a multi-function, real-time, one-piece, handheld scanner, data collector, printer and label applicator, and is available in two lightweight, enhanced specification models. The MO6032 and the MO6037 are ideal for time-efficient retail price management, item marking, shelf maintenance and picking and packing operations. The MO6032 satisfies the majority of needs, while the MO6037 can offer either batch or full RF (radio frequency) communication.

 Electronic Printer 676

 Mobile Workstation Aids: Monarch 9876
The Monarch 9876 mobile workstation is specially designed for use with the new Monarch 9855 RFID smart label and smart tag printers. The workstation allows retail distribution centers to combine all of the benefits of high-volume, large-label tabletop printing with the flexibility and productivity of portable printing.  Among the claims made for it are increased staff productivity and improved accuracy of labelled goods, as they can be scanned and labelled in a single, seamless operation.
