Intellident is a highly successful integrator that has already implemented more than 1,000 RFID applications throughout Europe over the past six years, and is now working with Texas Instruments to deploy RFID solutions to solve an even wider range of item and asset management challenges for European businesses. Intellidents solutions include supply chain and logistics applications, such as the rollout of more than four million Tag-it RFID smart labels in Marks & Spencers supply chain, as well as asset tracking, item management in public and private libraries, and industrial-packaged tags and readers for particularly harsh environments. The integrator is also developing UHF-based systems for tagging goods at the item level in retail applications.
The Team Tag-it program will enable us to build on our successful work to date with Texas Instruments in a range of markets, and we are looking forward to collaborating together on current and future projects, said Jim Hopwood, managing director of Intellident.
More than 50 RFID hardware and software suppliers, printer, reader and antenna manufacturers and systems integrators have joined the Texas Instruments Team Tag-it program since it was established in March 2000. Team Tag-it members participate in marketing, sales, and networking opportunities, and share resources to further strengthen the market for RFID smart labels.
