Viatel mnet Offers Customers E-mail Security With BlackSpider

E-mail security company, BlackSpider Technologies, has signed a deal with mnet, the business Internet service provider (ISP), under which it will provide mnets customers with its MailControl Anti-Virus, Spam and Content Filtering services. mnet will
co-brand BlackSpiders services as (3)Labs.

Under the (3)Labs brand, BlackSpider will manage and maintain e-mail security for mnets customers, blocking viruses and junk e-mail before it reaches their corporate networks. Because the service is fully managed by BlackSpider, there is no need for users to install hardware or software at their offices.

mnet is one of the UKs fastest growing corporate-only ISPs and exclusively provides Level3 connectivity and collocation solutions to UK businesses. Level3 is an international communications and information services company that operates one of the largest communications and Internet backbones in the world.

Fenton Bard, Business Development Manager for mnet, commented on the partnership: More and more businesses are requesting email security as part of their ISP service and we had to find a total solution that required very little management from us. We chose BlackSpider because it uses the most up-to-date technology on the market and we can co-brand the service we deliver to our customers.

John Cheney, BlackSpider CEO, says: Businesses need e-mail security and expect to be able to get it from their ISP. Because we allow ISPs to white-label our MailControl services to their customers and offer flexible contract and support terms, it is very popular - this is the third major ISP to sign up with us in as many months (after altoHiway and Viatel).
