Anixter International and Adtran offer value alternative in EMEA networking market

Anixter International, the largest global distributor and logistics services provider of wire, cable and connectivity products and services, today announced that it has signed an EMEA-wide distribution agreement with ADTRAN Inc, the U.S. market leader in carrier class voice and data telecommunications solutions. Under the terms of the agreement, Anixter will distribute ADTRAN's NetVanta line of internetworking products - including the NetVanta 3000 Series of modular access routers, the NetVanta 1000 Series of managed Ethernet switches, and the NetVanta 2000 Series of VPN/firewall appliances.

The contract will increase Anixter's presence in the internetworking market while, providing ADTRAN with the global logistical support and reseller base necessary to expand in the EMEA market place. Anixter's reseller partners will also benefit, with access to ADTRAN's comprehensive portfolio of standards-based internetworking products.

Anixter's reseller partners will be eligible to take part in the ADTRAN and Anixter Partner Programme. This will provide a range of significant benefits including qualified sales leads, top tier pre- and post-sales support, substantial product discounts and a dedicated account manager. It will also provide access to discounted product demonstration units and comprehensive marketing support - including product marketing kits, marketing development funds and a range of presentations designed to facilitate the sales process. To become an ADTRAN Partner, resellers must complete tiered sales and technical certification on appropriate ADTRAN products.
