HHP - the worlds leading provider of image-based data collection systems - has announced that sales of its new Dolphin 9500 mobile computer are going from strength to strength. The 9500 is the first of an exciting new generation of mobile computers, and is crammed with the latest technology. It has been so well received that German Rail bought 2,000 units within a few days of its launch.

Roel Vreeburg, HHPs Managing Director for EMEA, comments: This represents a tremendous start for the 9500. Its high level of functionality is already attracting very positive comments from both our customers and our business partners.

The Dolphin 9500 offers exceptional performance, including aggressive read rates and depths of fieldeven in difficult lighting conditions or with poor quality bar codes. It is packed with features that maximise its speed, efficiency and usability, and enable data processing applications to be processed rapidly and accurately.

The new Dolphin incorporates an industry-leading, triple wireless radio design, which allows real-time data collection. It is also equipped with the latest GSM/GPRS technology, enabling users to collect and transmit data over the cellular telephone network. It is light but extremely durable, and easy to use. Its instant point-and-shoot capability can be used on virtually all bar code symbols, and it also offers signature and image capture. It is therefore ideal for distribution, warehousing, retail, and manufacturing applications.

Roel Vreeburg adds: The Dolphin 9500 is a very exciting development. Our other Dolphins modelssuch as the 7300 and the 7400have already established a powerful reputation for accuracy, versatility and reliability. This new model is enhancing the reputation of the Dolphin family still further, and is destined to become as popular as the other models in the range very quickly.
