Building on the standards set by its popular 700 Color Series, Intermec has introduced the 730 Color mobile computer. A compact, affordable Pocket PC, the 730 is equipped with built-in wireless LAN and Bluetooth connectivity, a linear imager that delivers high-speed barcode reading performance and a Lithium-Ion battery that supports a full shifts work and recharges in four hours.

Equipped with an EV10 high performance scan engine based on Intermecs popular VISTA scanning technology, the EV10 combines compact size with high scanning performance. With a high scan rate and excellent range, the EV10 can read any type of barcode including poorly printed, damaged or with a wide or high density. Using light emitting diode illumination to provide bright and sharp aiming, the technology allows users to clearly see what they are scanning in both light and dark conditions.

The most affordable member of the 700 series, the 730 offers a sharp colour display that is easy to read in all lighting conditions, including sunlight. Both its numeric keypad and touch screen make data entry easy, and its light, ergonomic design makes it comfortable to use for an entire shift.

The 730 is fully integrated, with the radios and imager incorporated into the product design to ensure maximum performance and years of trouble-free service. Its well suited for stand-alone, client-server, browser-based, or terminal emulation applications.

Its Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 software makes it easy to connect to wireless networks, including enhanced e-mail capabilities, and is designed to encourage platform innovation.
