Silwood Technology Ltd. is actively seeking new partners who are interested in further differentiating their consultancy services and enhancing revenue opportunities by adding a software product with unique capabilities in the enterprise packaged application market to their portfolios.

They will join an exciting global roster of partners including ASG, IBM, Datum, Erwin, SNP, Adaptive, AnalytixDS and Value Group Russia.

The company, a leading supplier of enterprise application metadata intelligence software, recently launched Safyr® Version 7. This has introduced enhancements to its functionality which are particularly applicable for GDPR. The new software enables users to identify sources of Personal Data in major ERP and CRM packages for GDPR compliance in just minutes, and share that information with other technologies and platforms as necessary.

Partners use Safyr to help their clients accelerate their journey towards GDPR compliance as well with other data or information intensive projects. For organisations that use SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Microsoft and other packages locating data which can be defined as personal represents a significant challenge as it hidden away amongst thousands of tables in these large, complex and often highly customised applications. This is a key area to address during the Information Audit or Data Discovery phase of a GDPR programme.

Traditional tools and methods, such as searching for documentation, using templates and reference models, or searching the internet for relevant data definitions do not meet the requirements for metadata discovery in an effective and timely fashion.

For data compliance and other data related projects, Silwood partners are able to better support their clients by using Safyr to discover, extract and exploit metadata quickly and easily. Partners also have the opportunity to build their own metadata discovery solutions for other packages using Safyr technology.

Founder and Technical Director of Silwood Technology, Nick Porter said: "The channel has always been important to Silwood's success and has led to the adoption of Safyr by some of the world's leading companies. Safyr will help our partners play a critical role in their customers' GDPR compliance programmes. For any reseller, VAR or ISV delivering consultancy and support for major packaged applications, Safyr offers a fast, easy-to-use and accurate approach to finding critical data required for GDPR compliance.

"From speaking directly to businesses, we have learned that there is a lot of confusion in the market about GDPR. Also as a result many are struggling to decide on the most appropriate GDPR compliance platforms and processes. The fact is that a combination of proliferating data sources, integration challenges and now GDPR means that organisations are under pressure to deliver very quickly. Our channel partners are already delivering value and benefits to their clients, by enabling them to incorporate Personal Data from ERP and CRM packages into data governance platforms, often in in minutes, rather than weeks or months."
