The 250+ staff located at Midwich head office in Vinces Road, Diss launched the new partnership on Friday 7th April by raising over £500 for Nelson's Journey. Nelson's Journey is delighted that Midwich has chosen to support us for the next two years. Their enthusiastic team have a great track record in helping local causes. We've seen growing demand for our services across the county, including south Norfolk, and Midwich will play an important part in helping us to respond to the growing needs of the community."

Carla Shipp, Group Head of HR at Midwich commented ""We are delighted to partner with Nelson's Journey as our chosen charity over the next two years. Staff get to choose which charity they wish to support and keeping our focus local is important to all of us here at Midwich. It means some of the smaller, not so well known charities get to benefit from donations on a larger scale. We really hope that with the values we aim to raise from the support of our staff, their families and friends and of course and the wider community, that we can make a real difference to some of the children and young adults that have suffered the loss of a significant person in their lives".

Nelson's Journey continues to provide support to children and young people, living in Norfolk, who have experienced the death of a significant person in their life, helping them to move forward positively with their lives. Already this year the charity has received over 300 referrals for children and young people, if pace continues they are set to work with over 1000 children this year. They supported over 780 during 2016.

Nelson's Journey provide support in a number of ways – from 1:1 support sessions to therapeutic weekends – all of which are completely free to our service users, thanks to the amazing support from local businesses and the Norfolk community.
