Built on advanced cloud architecture, Acronis is claimed to be setting a new standard for next generation data protection through its backup, disaster recovery, and secure file access sync and share solutions using the Odin Service Automation platform from Ingram Micro to manage over 50,000 service provider partners.

Founded in 2003 and 100% focused on the channel, Acronis solutions are available worldwide through a global network of service providers, distributors, and cloud resellers. Through its partner network of over 35,000 partners, Acronis protects the data of more than five million consumers and 500,000 businesses in over 145 countries. With over 100 patents and six million OEM licenses, Acronis' products have been named best product of the year, and cover a range of features including migration, cloning, and replication.

In October 2015, Acronis needed an automated business platform on which to base its cloud partner program to carry out at mass scale. This meant adapting Acronis products and services from a traditional two-tier sales process to an automated model tailored for cloud resellers, such as Ingram Micro, with the capability to scale to over 50,000 hosters and service providers. Acronis' tightly integrated set of solutions includes backup, disaster recovery, and secure file sync and share, offering channel partners the ability to easily provide customizable and affordable data protection solutions to their end- customers.

Recently acquired by Ingram Micro,
Odin was selected by Acronis to engineer its newly launched Acronis Cloud Partner Programme. Acronis' Cloud Partner Program is a leading platform that delivers secure end-to-end automated service delivery and customer management (including provisioning, consumption, billing, and reporting), by product and license type, by geography, and in six different currencies.

Odin is a best in class platform for service providers to automate different workloads for hosters, telcos, and SaaS ISVs, enabling the addition of intelligent software applications and efficient and cost-effective business processes with no extra staff required. Acronis is the first to market with an integrated Data Protection, Disaster Recovery and Enterprise Cloud File Sync & Share and cloud services solution with Odin.

Its best-in-class management panel makes it ideal for Acronis' partner channel to self-serve 90 per cent of the tasks they need to accomplish with provisioning, managing, reporting, and billing Acronis Cloud services.

"It took us just three months to tightly integrate the full suite of Acronis solutions with the Odin Service Automation platform. As a result, we were able to launch the Acronis Cloud Partner Programme, which has the capability to scale to tens of thousands of service providers," said Serguei Beloussov, Co-Founder and CEO at Acronis. "In fact, we recruited more partners in the first quarter of 2016 than in all of 2015."

"Odin Service Automation is a best-in-class cloud service delivery platform used by over 50 per cent of the top 40 telcos in the world and also powers our automated Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace," said Renee Bergeron, Vice President, Global Cloud, Ingram Micro. "Our cloud automation platform continues to play a significant role in how businesses consume cloud and we are excited to see evidence that the platform is efficiently managing our extensive partner ecosystem selling Acronis Data Protection Services."
