The Denso BHT-1100 scanner has been recently introduced in the Musgrave NI stores, SuperValu and Centra. The Denso BHT-1100 has proven to be highly reliable and accurate and the feedback by managers and employees has been thoroughly positive. "Our experience with the Denso scanners has been outstanding.

We can use them in the sales area, store rooms or within frozen products without the scanning performance being restricted. Furthermore, since the introduction of the DENSO BHT-1100 we were able to reduce the time needed to price-check a store by about half," said Graham Service, Retail IT Manager at Musgrave NI.

The Musgrave Group is the wholesale partner to entrepreneurial retailers in the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Great Britain and Spain. Graham Service states that they are currently using about 120 Denso devices in their 30 stores. He says: "Our expectations have been more than fulfilled and we are very satisfied with the DENSO handheld terminals. We will increase the number to 350 Denso devices in the future".

The Denso BHT-1100 is highly robust and durable; therefore, the inevitable daily knocks and drops are not a problem for the device. It can be left behind in chilled areas and the freezer without a noticeable effect on its performance. The slim body of the handheld terminal can be operated even by employees with small hands and can be easily handled while wearing gloves in the freezer area. In order to be highly accurate, the scanning of the code must take place immediately.

This is guaranteed by the precise mobile data collection software which is used in all Denso devices. Additionally, the angled scanning head makes the scanning process of products on high or low shelves easier than before, making the BHT-1100 handheld terminal very user-friendly.
