GaneData expands Auto ID offering with exclusive Point Mobile contract

Auto ID solutions provider GaneData has strengthened its AIDC portfolio within the UK, adding Point Mobile to its list of exclusive manufacturers.

The company, which has a long history of working with global manufacturers, has signed a new distribution agreement which commenced in May 2015. The contract win is a significant milestone for GaneData which over the past 6 months has also added Zebex Industries into its extensive mix of international Auto ID and POS manufacturers.

Point Mobile, a relatively unknown brand within the UK is the leading ODM and OEM business offering industrial design, hardware manufacturing and software solutions into the Auto ID Market. Established for almost 20 years the company has proven its design and manufacturing capabilities and is a leading supplier to many global well-known manufacturers.

Point Mobile products sell well across the globe and the partnership between the two companies gives GaneData the opportunity to build the Point Mobile brand in the UK and establish new relationships within the channel. The company will be working hard with Point Mobile to focus their marketing messages and develop a strong brand presence in the UK.

Sadique added: "Alongside its windows mobile handheld terminals, Point Mobile also offers a range of rugged Android products to help satisfy the changing needs of the auto id market place. Android devices have gained prominence within the last 12 months in the UK and at GaneData we want to ensure that we can fulfil this need, keeping up with the latest technologies and trends".

As part of its commitment to manufacturing innovative industrial devices, Point Mobile works to assimilate customer needs, future market desires and technologies; every single designer has at least 5years experiences on industrial handheld devices and more than 10years in ICT technology products. The company works with global strategic partners such as Marvel and Texas Instruments for micro-processor, Microsoft & Google Android for operating system, B-Square, Devicescape, Datalight, Cinterion and Sierra for WWAN module technology, Arcontia & Assa Abloy for RFID technology, Ublox for GPS technology alongside others.

GaneData will be marketing and selling the full range of Point Mobile products, including handheld terminals, enterprise mobility products and rugged Android devices.
