TP-LINK, the WLAN products provider, has announced updates to some of its most popular devices and their imminent releases to the UK market. The EAP220 600 Mbps Dual Band Ceiling Mount Access Point is the next installment of its EAP range of Wireless Access Points for small/medium business (SMB) environments, while the RE210 AC 750 Wi-Fi Range Extender boosts a flawless wireless signal to previously unreachable or hard to wire areas.

EAP220 600 Mbps Dual Band Ceiling Mount Access Point

Intended for offices, restaurants, campuses and hotels, the EAP220 stands out as one of the most versatile and cost effective Wireless Access Point solutions on the market today. The EAP220 sports four powerful internal antennas for greater bandwidth with wireless concurrent dual band speeds of up to 600Mbps, and the onboard Qualcomm Atheros Chipset, known for its reliability, provides the power behind the wheel.

The EAP220's compact chassis represents a well defined ceiling and wall mount design for flexible deployment while also being aesthetically pleasing. Additionally, the onboard PoE connection ensuring industry standard Power over Ethernet, and a Gigabit Ethernet port for wired speeds of up to 1000Mbps, makes sure the AP offers incredible adaptability. "One of the main considerations for access points in the workplace is placement and flexibility", said Gordon Sun, Country Manager DACH of TP-LINK. "So the EAP series was designed to be as compact and as versatile as possible to allow for easy installation and maximum coverage."

The inclusion of TP-LINK's intuitive Centralized Management Controller software means administrators can deliver high end wireless control over their Wi-Fi coverage, with no extra cost. Additionally, the Centralized Management Software, included as a free bundle, provides administrators with intuitive Wi-Fi management with the use of floor plan images which can be uploaded to the software directly.

The Controller Software can also support hundreds of APs, offering real-time control and statistical information for each individual AP in the network, which allows for centralised configuration management, batch configuration and updates for firmware deployment.

With its Captive Portal feature, the EAP220 provides a perfect solution for companies that allows for guests to log into specific pages for Wi-Fi access. These pages are customisable and enable both a professional and secure experience for the user. The Captive Portal also allows distributable passwords that can be linked to an external database for validation, thus increasing the level of security.

RE210 AC 750 Wi-Fi Range Extender

The RE210 expands existing WiFi coverage with next generation 11AC Wi-Fi technology. It works with any standard Wi-Fi router and creates stronger dual band connections in hard-to-reach areas, providing seamless wireless coverage throughout the home or office.

Compatible with 802.11 b/g/n and 802.11ac WiFi devices, the dual band extender enables speeds of up to 750Mbps, providing reliable connections for laptops, smartphones, tablets and other wireless-enabled devices. A miniature size and wall-mounted design make it easy to deploy and move flexibly, while a gigabit port enables faster throughput, and also functions as a wireless adapter to connected wired devices.
