Extricom becomes division of Allied Telesis

Recently the UK IT industry was informed that Extricom, manufacturer of an award-winning enterprise Wireless LAN system, is now a division of Allied Telesis.

Allied Telesis is a global organisation with established experience in manufacturing and supplying network infrastructure. It has been a customer of Extricom for a number of years and during that period has became extremely impressed with the company's solutions - to such an extent that Allied Telesis made an offer to buy the company, which has been accepted.

Varlink, the York-based mobile computing and data capture specialist distributor, commented that it was delighted to have the opportunity to continue supplying Extricom products to the UK market place and looks forward to working with Allied Telesis to build the Extricom brand.

Varlink Managing Director Mike Pullon, said: "We are delighted to see the Extricom wireless product range back under new, financially strong, management. We look forward working with our customers, particularly those selling barcode based warehousing and manufacturing systems, to build Extricom sales in the UK."
