Two global IT companies have teamed up to produce a video on the 'explosion' in demand for technology lifecycle management services.
IT solutions provider, Avnet, and Network 2 Supplies (N2S), the data destruction and technology lifecycle management (TLM) supplier, have produced a 10 minute long video. The video details how organisations across multiple sectors – including those in the IT, industrial, banking, education, public and commercial sectors – can open up significant profitable opportunities by adopting a positive approach to TLM.
TLM embraces the concept of the circular economy, which fills the gap between 'redundant' and 'recycle' and its objective is to reuse as much redundant equipment as possible instead of sending it to landfill. This approach opens up resale opportunities for businesses, whilst simultaneously protecting the planet.
During the video N2S Director Andrew Gomarsall MBE describes TLM as: "An end to end service from discovery of client's assets and infrastructure through installation, de-installation, protection of data, data destruction on to reuse and recycling. It is creating a true circular economy."
By working together Avnet and N2S not only maximise resale opportunities of redundant equipment, but also ensures all sensitive data is fully protected and destroyed in line with government directives, protecting their clients from potentially crippling fines for breaches of the Data Protection Act. They also ensure all recycling activities are carried out in line with existing legislation.
