Leading IT professionals gathered at Axios Systems briefing forum in Dusseldorf recently with a focus on how IT managers can meet the challenge of improving service quality whilst simultaneously reducing costs.
IDC research, sponsored by Axios, has shown a 33% increase in the adoption of IT Service Management (ITSM) software in the German market in 2014, with more than 80% of leading German organisations now operating with an ITSM solution in the last three years.
The research highlights the extent of the new challenge for German IT managers / professionals. More than 50% of them state their basic goal for the next 24months is to improve service delivery whilst 45% of IT decision makers require that cost savings are made in the same period.
Gerald Haberecker, Head of Sales for the DACH area at Axios Systems, said, "Mobility requires a flexible access to the ITSM tool. Through the use of smartphones and tablet PCs, communication and work processes can be handled quickly and efficiently, regardless of location."
