Leading IT professionals gathered at Axios Systems briefing forum in Dusseldorf recently with a focus on how IT managers can meet the challenge of improving service quality whilst simultaneously reducing costs.

IDC research, sponsored by Axios, has shown a 33% increase in the adoption of IT Service Management (ITSM) software in the German market in 2014, with more than 80% of leading German organisations now operating with an ITSM solution in the last three years.

The research highlights the extent of the new challenge for German IT managers / professionals. More than 50% of them state their basic goal for the next 24months is to improve service delivery whilst 45% of IT decision makers require that cost savings are made in the same period.

Gerald Haberecker, Head of Sales for the DACH area at Axios Systems, said, "Mobility requires a flexible access to the ITSM tool. Through the use of smartphones and tablet PCs, communication and work processes can be handled quickly and efficiently, regardless of location."

Prosystems IT GmbH, part of the Wincor Nixdorf Group, offers IT services and solutions for financial services, through the use of assyst. Stefan Willuwait, a guest speaker at the breakfast briefing, said: "assyst has been the backbone of our IT service management for more than ten years. As a standard product, it combines a high functional density with flexibility and high strength".

assyst is the heart of the service event at the Prosystems IT GmbH. It allows the Bonner IT Department to comply with the requirements of its numerous customers.
