Leading rugged mobile enterprise products distributor Maxatec has signed a new distribution agreement with Seals Technologies, a major player in rugged mobile communications products.
The agreement will see Maxatec adding the unique Seals TS3 ruggedised Android smartphone with 3.5-inch VGA display to its range of class-leading and cost-effective mobility technologies, which cover every area from PDAs to tablet PCs.
Tom Abbott, the Director of Mobile Enterprise for Maxatec believes that the TS3 smartphone captures the end user's imagination in that the unit has the flexibility, functionality and ease of operation that today's workforce and private user requires.

The Seals TS3 is optimised for Android 2.3 and has a wealth of features that make it a real workhorse portable tool. It has dual SIM capability to give a choice of mobile networks, front and back facing cameras – the front facing camera is assisted by an LED flash – and quick charging, long-lasting lithium ion battery. External memory can be expanded up to 32GB with a micro SSD.
Built in apps include one key positioning setting with SOS rescue, atmospheric pressure and temperature measuring, FM Radio, torch, pedometer, compass, GPS, and proximity sensor. The device also features acoustic noise cancelling.
