Maxatec continues pushing the envelope of rugged mobile computing with the cutting edge Bluebird Pidion BM180 – the first large screen enterprise class PDA / Terminal available in the UK. This extremely tough 5-inch touchscreen handheld is rated IP67 and MIL-STD810G, making it a true class leader.
This product gives business users all of the attractive benefits of the latest consumer grade handsets but in a truly ruggedised package, also surrounded with long-life managed service options essential for enterprise project financial planning.
The BM180 comes in a choice of two operating systems – Android 4.3 and Windows 8 Embedded – and is a natural extension to Maxatec's range of Bluebird mobile enterprise devices.
Equipped with an Eyelluminate display (considered to be one of the the best available screen for working indoors and outdoors); a fast and powerful, yet energy efficient 1.5 GHz dual-core processor; 8 megapixel forward facing main camera and a 1.3 megapixel operator facing camera; Assisted GPS; and a range of communication options. The latter include 3G, 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0. Data capture is also fully covered with barcode (1D and 2D) scanning, RFID, magnetic stripe and contactless card options.

Again, featuring a powerhouse, energy-efficient 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, this is one of the most rugged enterprise devices available and will be available with Android or Windows 8 Embedded. The integral rubber bumper case design, adds grip to the user supporting the Eyelluminate™ display making it easy to use in all kinds of environments. Like the BM180, a range of communications and data capture options are available.
