Avnet Technology Solutions EMEA wins 2014 IBM Choice Award for Marketing Excellence in the Benelux Region

Avnet Technology Solutions, the IT solutions distributor and an operating group of Avnet, Inc., was named a winner of an IBM Choice Award for Marketing Excellence in the Benelux region.

Veerle van der Linden, senior marketing executive at Avnet Technology Solutions, Benelux, won this award for developing a ground-breaking 'Avnet IBM Smart Solutions' Partner Portal which offers Marketing-as-a-Service (MaaS) to Avnet's IBM Business Partners in the region.

Announced at the IBM PartnerWorld Leadership Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, IBM's Choice Awards recognise a select number of IBM Business Partners who exhibit IBM values in all client interactions and achieve common business goals, and mutually significant business impact. The Choice Awards, selected by IBM leadership in each geography, are given to Business Partners across a range of categories, recognising their working relationships with clients and demonstrated skills in selling IBM solutions.

This unique MaaS approach and platform, created by Veerle van der Linden, now allows Avnet's partners to expand existing offerings and attack competitive markets through IBM solutions. Using Avnet's MaaS offering enables IBM Business Partners to deliver successful marketing campaigns through integrated and multi-channel approaches, and through improving online lead generation processes. This helps create more awareness for IBM brands such as IBM PureSystems, IBM Power Systems and IBM servers, and accelerates business growth for partners.
