Toughshield, the global provider of rugged mobile computers for business, has announced a promotion to support the launch of its newest rugged device, the R500+. Bridging a gap in the mobile computing market, the R500+ looks and feels like a consumer device but has the features of a rugged mobile computer. Starting today partners who register for the Toughshield Partner Portal can order up to 10 units of the R500+ at 60% off the list price.

The R500+ has a robust, lightweight consumer design and features a 1.2GHz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and an extended 3600 mAh battery option, making it ideal for enterprise use. Unlike a consumer smartphone, the R500+ comes with Gorilla® Glass, is IP-67 and MIL–STD-810G rated against dust and water ingress and is designed to withstand multiple drops to concrete. To qualify for the promotion, partners simply need to register for Toughshield's new partner portal and once approved they will be given a unique discount code to quote when they place their order. Orders will be fulfilled by Toughshield's Pan-European distribution partner, ScanSource. This offer ends on 28 February 2014 and is limited to one qualifying order of a maximum of 10 units per partner.
