Brother is helping resellers capitalise on sales opportunities in the rapidly expanding scanner market as well as take advantage of the continuing boom in smartphone and tablet sales with five new portable and compact scanners.

The scanner market is predicted to grow 21% year on year over the next three years, with an increasingly flexible working culture driving demand for scanning devices to create digital, shareable documents from any location.

The scanners enable users to scan to the cloud as well as to tablet and smartphone devices, enabling resellers to further capitalise on the increasing sales of tablets and smartphones.

Brother has updated its portable scanner offering (the DS range), to be used by workers on the go as well as launching a brand new range of compact document scanners (ADS range), to be used to create digital versions of documents in the home and office. The new machines are designed to complement Brother's existing desktop range, which is designed for users who process large amount of paper documents.

Andy Johnson, product and solutions manager at Brother UK, "As more and more of us choose to work from multiple locations, outside of the traditional 9-5 office hours, the demand for technology, such as cloud networks and BYOD schemes, which can be used by multiple users from a wide range of devices is on the increase.

"The new products complement Brother's existing scanner offering, which have seen strong sales in the last 12 months amongst businesses of all sizes and will help resellers capitalise on this growing market, as well as help them to take advantage of the growing tablet and smartphone markets."
