BlueStar created these 'Lunch & Learn' sessions to provide opportunities for Value-Added Resellers to discover new solutions from channel manufacturers and create new partnerships to fuel business growth. These small interactive events give the Value Added Resellers and manufacturers a great chance to carry out valuable networking and also allows the Reseller to come face to face with the manufacturer.
The three locations across the country allowed Value-Added Resellers to attend their most local session and eliminated the familiar problems of high travel costs and excessive time out of the office. They were offered an exclusive insight on the upcoming products and services from Zebra and Psion and were also informed of the latest Psion/Motorola Integration news. "The interactivity of the 'Lunch & Learns' allow us to spend quality time with a number of Value Added Resellers under one roof. The networking time allows them to ask us about any opportunities that they may have related to our presentations." said Mike Willett, Psion Distribution and Channel Manager for Motorola Solutions UK Limited.
The short, snappy nature of the 'Lunch & Learn' events has become a huge hit with resellers as they only require attendance for the morning and lunchtime meaning that attendees can be back in the office for the afternoon. "I thought the event was great in terms of it being relevant and informative. Whilst I'm very familiar with Zebra, it was interesting to learn what development have been made on their own support contracts and that in particular interests me very much." said Paul Woods, Barcodes for Business Ltd. "All in all it was very educational and that's what I personally like to gain from these experiences rather than sit and listen to people talking about things that are already common knowledge." The second in a series of 'Lunch & Learn' events to be hosted in the UK, the Zebra/Psion Lunch and Learns brought vendors and resellers together with the BlueStar team. The extra networking time, combined with the small, interactive group allowed me to talk to all of the resellers individually over the three days and find out about any projects that they may have where they can integrate our products.
