ScanSource Communications Europe, the value-added distributor of voice, video and data communications solutions, has expanded its relationship in Europe with Avaya by incorporating Radvision's product range into its portfolio. Radvision, an Avaya company, is a provider of video conferencing and telepresence technologies over IP and wireless networks. Radvision offers end-to-end visual communications that help businesses collaborate more efficiently.

This agreement means that ScanSource now offers video solutions to resellers in the UK, expanding on its video portfolio available in parts of continental Europe that includes LifeSize and Polycom products.

"With the demand for video likely to grow in the coming years, the addition of Radvision to our portfolio means we're providing resellers a variety of solutions to choose from," said Rudy De Meirsman, Senior Director, Merchandising and Operations, ScanSource Communications Europe. "We're ready to support existing Radvision resellers with our range of value-added services and tools that are tailored to their business, and we can now support existing Avaya voice and data resellers as they move into the video conferencing space."

"We are very excited about this partnership with ScanSource Communications Europe," said Itai Margalit, VP Global Video Sales, Avaya. "They have an impressive track record with Avaya in the voice and data space, fantastic relationships with their customers specialising in Avaya and other vendors' solutions, and are clearly one of the market leaders. Our experience in the video market combined with ScanSource's value-added proposition forms a solid platform on which the channel can support future rise in demand for mobile, desktop and meeting room video capabilities."
