Asigra Inc., the Cloud Backup, Recovery and Restore (BURR) software provider since 1986, has announced that Datrix, the managed service provider since 1994, will now offer Asigra Cloud Backup to its clients for their backup and recovery needs, replacing the previously offered solutions from AppAssure and Vembu. Datrix provides a full range of IT services, including cloud backup and recovery, disaster recovery and consultancy to a diverse set of public and private clients throughout the United Kingdom.

"As a company we moved to Asigra to provide a more robust and enterprise-leading service," said Elliot Samuels, Business Development Manager, Datrix. "Asigra offers better compliance and security, which is extremely important to our clients in both the private and public sectors. As well, the way Asigra handles de-duplication and the fact that it is operating system and hardware agnostic will both be major benefits to our clients."

Asigra Cloud Backup identifies duplicate data by looking for the same data queued for backup more than once. All data is compared based on its content, so it does not matter if the files have different names or on different servers. Being hardware and operating system agnostic, Asigra Cloud Backup is able to backup and recover data from the datacenter out to all endpoint devices.

"Our clients will now have a more efficient and robust backup tool," said Samuels. "Asigra Cloud Backup will be able to effectively backup remote and geographically disperse organisations with a view to provide better SLA's for recovery time objectives. This will help our clients immensely."

Datrix decision to offer Asigra Cloud Backup comes at a time when 66% of enterprises are considering cloud backup, and 62% of enterprises are considering a new approach to backup and recovery in the next 12 to 18 months, according a recent survey conducted by TechValidate.

"We're very pleased to have Datrix join our Partner Ecosystem," said Eran Farajun, EVP of Asigra. "By providing Asigra Cloud Backup as their backup and recovery solution, Datrix's clients will immediately discover the benefits that our software provides and have better peace of mind, knowing that their data is safe and protected. We welcome Datrix to our community and look forward to working with them to optimize their success."
