The new range of Android tablets from Casio has arrived and is now available to order from EPoS Distributor. The V-T500 series of tablets are designed both with a rugged shell for harsh conditions but also with a consumer exterior image for customer facing applications.

The new tablet range is fully equipped with a one metre drop specification, and an IP54 rating, allowing for the tablet to be used out in the field, and in challenging environments. With a 10.1" screen, which offers excellent readability, and a capacitive touch panel, the tablets are ideal for professional presentations. It has two cameras installed, both on the front and rear at five mega-pixels with an LED light, and there are options for still images and movies, or a document scanner depending on the chosen application.

The tablets provide robust security options and are equipped with an NFC Reader/Writer that can authenticate user login using a non-contact smart card, and also a Secure Access Module (SAM) slot for applications requiring a higher level of security control. Ideal for use in almost every area of retail, from the stock room to shop floor, the new devices will allow retailers to improve in-store customer service by giving sales assistants easier access to information and powerful applications, marrying the in-store retail experience with the best features of online shopping.

Using the Android platform allows for the new series of tablets to be easily linked to Casio's new cloud business portal, providing a powerful and versatile business tool for users in not only retail but logistics, healthcare and field force automation.
