Central reprographic departments, digital print service providers and high-volume printing environments can now benefit with the new Konica Minolta bizhub PRO 951. This entry-level black and white production device, will handle monthly peak volumes of up to 1.5 million A4 prints. Highlights are affordability, extraordinarily high print resolution and high media flexibility, as well as a tone curve utility as standard, to produce outstanding image quality, maximised with high paper capacity and professional finishing options.
The newly released Konica Minolta bizhub PRO 951 included a number of new features. Among them are two attributes that really stand out - affordability and durability. With a print speed of 95 pages per minute (ppm) A4 and average monthly print volumes between 80,000 and 300,000, peaks of up to1.5 million impressions, this new entry-level system offers an excellent price-performance ratio for central reprographic departments, digital print service providers and high-volume printing environments, without compromising on quality.
The new bizhub PRO 951, has superior print resolution with 1,200 by 1,200 dots per inch (dpi), and offers a wide range of lines per inch (lpi) options -from 40 to 300 lpi. The production system also delivers high media flexibility, able to handle stock ranges from 40 to 300 gsm as standard but with an option for 350-gsm paper. The system's standard paper format is SRA3. The fully integrated media catalogue enables operators to define their media profiles, which are stored in a library, and can be easily picked up from the printer driver. In addition the scheduler function gives a detailed overview of jobs in the queue, and indicates the paper needed to complete the job and from which tray.
One of the essential features the bizhub PRO 951 delivers, is the tone curve utility: This tool can change Raster Image Processing (RIP) adjustments such as screening and tone curves. The bizhub PRO 951 holds up to 9,000 sheets of paper, with finishing options like stapling for up to 100 sheets, booklet making, z-folding with post insertion, GBC punching and automatic ring binding.
The bizhub PRO 951 is easy to operate, thanks to an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI), with touch screen access. Its highly productive - for example, A3 print speed of 55 pages per minute (ppm) - and impressive media flexibility with duplex printing up to 300 gsm - providing extremely short job turnaround times.
