Brother helps resellers benefit from growing mobile printing market

Brother is helping resellers target key markets through the launch of a new rugged mobile printing range. Brother is using industry insight to create products, which will enable resellers to target demand from sectors such as logistics, public safety, emergency services, field sales and manufacturing. The demand for technology that enables efficient mobile working is growing and the 4" mobile print global market is expected to double in size between now and 2016.


The RJ mobile printer series from Brother offers high quality on-site print outs in challenging, fast-paced environments. With faster print speeds and greater amounts of RAM memory than leading competitor models, the RJ range is tailored to meet the needs of the growing mobile printing market.

The RJ 4030 and RJ 4040 printers produce 4" sized receipts and labels using direct thermal technology, which means there is no need for ink or toner making them a perfect solution for producing field-based print outs such as customer invoices, on-the-spot notices or fines, shipping labels and statements of work.

As well as being efficient, it is essential that rugged technology offers excellent durability, to cope with the demands of working in tough conditions. The RJ range has IP45 accreditation, which is an industry recognised durability rating, and has also been tested by surviving a 1.8 meter drop test. Workers in these industries are constantly on the move, so the machines are designed to be portable and the printers are also lighter than many competitor models, weighing only 850g.

The RJ range will extend and enhance Brother's existing mobile printing solutions, enabling companies to select the most appropriate functions and design qualities to support their workforce. Specific industry requirements can be further catered for by the wide range of available accessories, such as an in-car mount, providing ease of use when on the road, and a magnetic card reader to process credit card transactions.
