Avnet Technology Solutions strengthens leadership team to support Oracle business in the UK

Avnet Technology Solutions, the global IT solutions distributor and an operating group of Avnet, Inc., has Lee Davies and Scott Constable as joint leaders of Avnet's UK Oracle business reporting to Matt Tedstone, enterprise sales director, Avnet Technology Solutions, UK.  Davies and Constable will be jointly responsible for the continuing development of new growth strategies and assisting Avnet business partners to maximise the sales potential of Oracle's technology solutions portfolio.  Avnet was recently nominated EMEA Value Added Distributor of the Year by Oracle and today's decision to expand the leadership team underlines the company's dedication to further accelerating the success of Oracle value-added resellers.

Commenting on the new appointments, Tedstone said, "There are significant efficiency and performance benefits to be derived from using Oracle solutions and this presents a huge market opportunity for our partners.  I have worked with Lee and Scott for many years. Davies and Constable have worked for Avnet for 12 and 10 years, respectively. Both come to their new roles offering a wealth of technical knowledge, commercial acumen and relationship-building skills gained from working for high-profile organisations in the industry.
Prior to Avnet, Davies held several business development and account management appointments, developing particular expertise of Sun Microsystems before being promoted to Oracle software sales manager. Constable has been responsible for selling a wide range of solutions from EMC, Pillar, F5, Nortel Networks and Sun Microsystems.
