Ingram Micro (UK) Ltd, a division of Ingram Micro Inc., the global wholesale provider of technology products and supply chain management services, has formally joined the Cloud Industry Forum (CIF) as part of its wider strategy of launching a portfolio of solutions under the brand of Ingram Micro Cloud.
Ingram Micro reports that it recognises the role of the distributor in enabling the reseller community to access a broad range of solutions in a common, consistent and trusted way. Following on from recent announcements of partnerships with cloud service provider RISE and the forming of an alliance of key manufacturers under the banner of the Channel Transformation Alliance, Ingram Micro states that it is pleased to unveil another key strategic partnership.
Matt Sanderson, UK Managing Director at Ingram commented: "Whilst we will take the lead on this market activity we equally recognise that the Cloud Industry Forum has been leading the charge for better practice and transparency in the Cloud. Its Code of Practice is a ground breaking initiative offering end users the transparency and security they need in taking the decision to migrate to the cloud, and an initiative such is this is something we can support and reflects our values and commitment."
