Ingram Micro (UK) Ltd, a division of Ingram Micro Inc., the global wholesaler of technology products, has agreed a new partnership with Rise, the UK and US based provider of Cloud and hosted services. The agreement provides Ingram's UK resellers with a complete aggregated Cloud portfolio, enabling their channel to supply hosting and a broad spectrum of IT solutions as a service to end-users.
With the partnership in place Ingram Micro are contributing to one of the primary goals of The Channel Transformation Alliance, bringing technology partners together and enabling resellers to transform their business.
Matt Sanderson, Managing Director at Ingram Micro said: "We're delighted to begin a partnership with Rise in the UK and it puts us in a position to deliver aggregated Cloud services for resellers to supply to the market. We recognise that cloud adoption can be different for each organisation based upon the application type, the customer starting point, the complexity of integration between systems, along with external issues such as regulatory requirements. The collaboration between the two companies means that we can now provide all application and infrastructure deployment options from on-premise through to hosted, private Cloud and SaaS under one roof. By bringing all of our expertise together Ingram and Rise can offer a higher level of service experience to all of our reseller and vendor partners."
Sanderson continues: "Our approach at Ingram is to be a comprehensive aggregator of a complete Cloud suite of offerings, a value-based Cloud business model that enables our partners to build a service practice and provides recurring revenue streams.."
Alex Hilton, Director at Rise comments: "Formalising the partnership with Ingram Micro represents a unique and best of breed collaboration between both organisations. It enables significant market reach and a comprehensive suite of solutions that enable resellers and their customers to adopt cloud on their own terms. Together we are offering resellers increased business agility and access to markets that they previously could not easily or cost effectively achieve."
Apay Obang-Oyway, Ingram Micro Head of Category for Software, Cloud and Mobility, adds "Our aim is to ensure that Ingram Micro provide resellers with the best and most comprehensive Cloud proposition to take to their customers. Our aim is to bolster the resellers' long tradition as the trusted advisor to their customers, by augmenting their on-premise offerings with the growing market for IT as a service. We view four key challenges to end users with the Cloud; innovation, collaboration, cost management and agility, and this partnership definitely tackles all four of these issues. What's more is the commercial strength of this partnership. With Rise we have a scalable partner allowing us to the meet the demands of our channel partners and their customers."
