As supplier of the credit and access control system for World Youth Day 2011, DNET has reached an agreement with multinational Unitech, a global manufacturer of automatic identification systems, to use the HT680 handheld terminal during this event. World Youth Day 2011 will be held in Madrid from the 16th till 21st of August. For this event a bespoke solution by DNET will be installed on the Unitech devices.
Complex logistical challenge
World Youth Day brings together more than 1 million young people from around the world. Pope Benedict XVI will attend this event as well. Taking place every three years, this huge event is a complex logistical and organisational challenge, with over 10.000 journalists from around the world as well as 25.000 volunteers.
Based on its robustness, reliability and good experience with various success stories, DNET choose Unitech's HT680 terminal for the purpose.
