ScanSource Europe Partner Tour reaches halfway point

The ScanSource Europe Partner Tour, the value-added distributor's pan-European roadshow, stopped off at Vinopolis in London on 14th June and the Maranello Palace near Modena, Italy on the 23rd June. Bringing together vendors, ISVs and reseller partners from both the communications and barcoding spheres to join ScanSource for a day full of opportunities for networking and the possibility to learn about recent ScanSource initiatives, attendees were able to experience first-hand the business opportunities presented by ScanSource's channel partner events.



"It's a great opportunity to build business relationships and create new opportunities, "said Maurice Van Rijn, Sales Director, Northern Europe, ScanSource Europe. "The Partner Tour is built on a common platform, with each event presenting plenty of educational and networking opportunities, while our events team always finds an exceptional location to give the event a local twist and provide some great entertainment at the end of a hard day's work."

The Partner Tour has already welcomed 775 people this year, meaning ScanSource are on track to once again beat the previous year's record participation levels, with the UK event alone attracting 350 attendees to Vinopolis. Located right next to the river Thames, and set under the soaring arches of a former railway Viaduct, Vinopolis proved to be a fantastic location for such an event, providing a relaxed atmosphere that contributed to the open feel and positive reaction given by resellers to the event.

In Italy, 125 attendees were treated to a tour of the Galleria Ferrari museum featuring many of Ferrari's most iconic cars from its rich history, having spent the day discussing various aspects of their business: the Partner Tour allows resellers to meet key vendor contacts in one place at one time, discuss business with the ScanSource sales and support teams, network with ISVs and other potential partners, and learn about the ScanSource tools that can benefit their business all in a setting that is easy to reach for ScanSource's reseller partners.

"It saves on the huge investments in time and travel that would usually be required for resellers and vendors to establish that many contacts. ScanSource is doing what a value added distributor should: we're making it easier to do business."

The Partner Tour is now set to take a short break for the rest of the summer but will be back in September, when it stops off at the Pavillion Gabriel in Paris on 27th September, with Sweden also being visited that month, Germany in October and, to round off another year, Madrid in November.
