Ingram Micro (UK) a division of Ingram Micro Inc., a global wholesaler of technology products and supply chain management services has hailed its Credit Builder + programme a success, and is expanding the reach offered by the scheme to encompass many customers previously unable to obtain credit from distribution.

Recognising problems caused by withdrawal of credit insurance, Ingram Micro launched the original Credit Builder programme late 2008. Early success led to resellers qualifying for new credit limits between 3,000 and 40,000. In 2010 this success continued and expanded, as Matt Sanderson, Managing Director for Ingram Micro, states: "The number of accounts trading through CreditBuilder+ has risen by 400%. Limits available to these customers have dramatically increased to over 30m. At a time when everyone is talking cutbacks, we are proud to be supporting our reseller customers with a continued expansion of our SMB credit facilities in 2011"

The 2011 CreditBuilder+ programme now supports resellers to enable them to build their credit facility up to 100k over a 12-month period. Resellers must utilise the facility in order to realise the ongoing increases, and agree to payments by direct debit, though the date and frequency of payment in most instances are flexible.

Sanderson continues: "We are committed to supporting the rapid growth of our SMB reseller customers, and the fact is that we are now offering more monthly credit in this segment, even prior to this expansion, which will bring more customers onto the programme and enable them to build their credit facility over a shorter space of time than previously."

Customers wishing to know more about the CreditBuilder+ programme should speak to their account manager, or attend one of the upcoming reseller forums around the country to meet with an Ingram Micro representative.
