Ingram Micro EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) has announced that the international security association TAPA (Transported Asset Protection Association) has awarded the Ingram Micro Tilburg distribution centre with the "TAPA A certificate". This certificate proofs the high security standards applied in the handling and shipping of all product items by Ingram Micro and Ingram Micro Logistics in its Dutch distribution center. Meeting the complex TAPA security standards was demonstrated during a special independent on-site audit.

The international security association TAPA is a consortium of international manufacturers, logistics providers, carriers, law enforcement authorities and other stakeholders with the common goal to reduce losses in the international supply chain. Today this organisation has more than 600 members in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, America and Asia. The security requirements of this Association have been approved worldwide as the industry standard for cargo operations and transportation security.

Philippe Carlier, Senior Director for the Ingram Micro Logistics division, is pleased with the certification: "This certification is a great opportunity for existing and new Ingram Micro Logistics customers throughout EMEA. This demonstrates that Ingram Micro continues investing to secure its logistics operations and supply chain processes, which will be directly beneficial to our customers, their assets and equipment."

Senior Operations Manager Ingram Micro Tilburg, Ren Verschure, added: "This is another important step in professionalizing our logistic operations to become a world class partner, not only in distribution but also in providing high quality end to end logistic services."
