ScanSource announces Partner Tour for 2011

ScanSource Europe has announced locations for the 2011 edition of its pan-European roadshow. The Partner Tour brings together local vendors, ISVs and reseller partners to enjoy a day full of great opportunities for networking and the possibility to learn all about recent ScanSource initiatives. For 2011, ScanSource will welcome the channel in eight different countries with one key aim: to create ever-better conditions for doing business.



The 2011 Partner Tour starts in Rotterdam at the Floating Pavilion on 24th March. Following on from the Netherlands ScanSource plans to visit Poland in May and the UK and Italy in June, while the Swedish, French, German and Spanish legs will take place later in the year.

In 2010, ScanSource reached more resellers than ever before, hosting over 1,500 attendees across Europe throughout the year. With ScanSource's communications business in the UK, Germany and France developing strongly in 2010 and channel initiatives driving reseller growth, the success of the events reflected results across all areas of the ScanSource business.

"2010 was a good year for ScanSource Europe and its partners," said Xavier Cartiaux, president, ScanSource Europe. "We experienced impressive organic growth and one of the reasons for the positive results is that we engaged with resellers locally as much as is possible. The Partner Tour allows us to do this and is the perfect vehicle for raising awareness of our programmes and showing resellers how to use them to the benefit of their business."

"For example: our partner-matching tool SUMO has over 2,500 users worldwide who can use the portal to extend their reach by collaborating with other resellers or ISVs who may hold the final piece of the puzzle; our mobile data application webstore AppSource allows resellers to download apps so they can sell ready-made solutions; while our healthcare portal stores all the resources resellers need to work in this important and rapidly expanding vertical. The Partner Tour gives us the opportunity to educate resellers on how to take advantage of these tools and get the most out of their business opportunities."

ScanSource is set to roll out more programmes and launch more tools over the next few months, and Partner Tour attendees will be among the first to know.
