Canon, the digital imaging technology provider, has launched its new pan-European partner programme for B2B partners.  In the UK, the partner programme is already well established and the latest version has been further developed to provide partners with a comprehensive and flexible platform to increase their business growth, and retain profitability through cross selling opportunities in 2011 and beyond.

The new programme is being introduced across Europe in H1 2011 but Partners in the UK are already being certified to help Partners achieve their business growth targets. It will enable partners to take advantage of the strength of the Canon product portfolio, giving potential to access the broadest range of imaging solutions in the industry combined with dedicated support.

The two levels within the updated partner programme designed to match Partner capabilities and expertise are as follows:
Canon Registered Partner for partners focusing on Canon warranty-based products such as laser A4 single and multifunction printers, document scanners and projectors

Canon Accredited Partner for partners with a service organisation, focusing on high value solutions (MFP / Software & Professional Services)  that require an ongoing support infrastructure

The programme has nine clearly defined certification levels covering the full range of Canon's B2B technology solutions including office imaging, office software solutions, production print, scanning solutions and projector solutions. The certification system is modular meaning partners can gain multiple or advanced levels of certification. This gives them the ability to react quickly to changing market conditions, as well as improve their value to customers by specialising and cross-selling into new markets crucial given the current market challenges and the need to remain profitable.

Certified partners have access to a wide range of benefits. Canon works alongside all partners to develop a business plan with clear joint targets for the year. A close working relationship and proactive account management supports them in achieving those targets. Partners are also rewarded through strategic and tactical bonuses for example growth bonuses and co-marketing funds to recognise the commitment from both sides. Access to the PartnerNet communications portal then gives a single point of access to essential information and tools to help partners communicate with their customers.

Matthew Searle, Director, Canon Partner Channel, Canon UK & Ireland, comments: "We recognise our partners' need to remain competitive in a challenging economic climate, and the latest version of our Partner Programme offers significant growth opportunities combined with the highest levels of support from Canon. By working together to develop a business plan, including the development of competencies in key certifications, it means we can truly understand our partners' objectives and work collaboratively together to meet them."

Searle concludes: "We have strong loyalty through our indirect channel the vast majority of our partners have been working with Canon for more than ten years, and we want to ensure this continues to grow. By refreshing the Programme in the UK we will help drive our partners' business growth, whilst also ensuring their end-user customers have confidence in their expertise and capability to understand the business challenges around Information Management. This will ensure end-users receive seamless and consistently high levels of service."
