Maxa Technologies (Maxatec), specialist supplier of hardware and services to the Mobile, Automatic Identification and EPOS market sectors, has announced that manufacturing giant, Datamax-O'Neil, has appointed them as Value Added Distributor (VAD) for their broad range of mobile label and receipt printers in varied printing widths. This will also include the recently launched Datamax-O'Neil RL4 4" rugged portable printer, specially designed for harsh environments such as manufacturing, warehouse and distribution applications.
Datamax-O'Neil's Valued Partner Program (VPP) for EMEA was launched in April 2010 and builds on the successful foundation that has been established for Datamax-O'Neil partners in other regions of the world. Through Datamax-O'Neil's VPP, the company will now provide partners with additional technical and marketing support to help their business development in the EMEA region.
Maxatec has a 40 year history in the Auto ID industry and prides itself on its innovative approach and enduring relationships the company has established over the years with major manufacturers. Unlike most of its competitors, Maxatec offers a limited range of mobile computing devices and mobile printers enabling the company to focus on one or two product sets and position itself as a specialist distributor for each of its suppliers as well as deliver a superior service to its customers.
Andrea Percival, managing director of Maxatec added: "We have always tried to make sure that there is minimal overlap with the products we take to market and that they are not over-distributed in the mainstream channel, this has proved to be a major factor in our success as a respected value added distributor."
Christian Bischoff, Regional General Manager EMEA, at Datamax-O'Neil said: "We are committed to expanding our presence in the Automatic Identification (AutoID) market in the EMEA region. Our challenge is that this market has reached maturity, with well-educated and knowledgeable end users as well as an established distribution channel. To achieve our goals we need to work with high calibre partners that have the depth of knowledge and a strong track record in the industry. Therefore we are delighted that Maxatec has agreed to become our VAD, as their reputation and capabilities will help to support our business objectives."
Percival said: "Being appointed as Datamax-O'Neil's Value Added Partner for their portable printer product set is extremely exciting for Maxatec. The mobile computing sector continues to grow at a very rapid pace and we are proud of our achievements in this industry to date. This new agreement with Datamax-O'Neil will provide us with important additions to our existing portfolio of mobile solutions. Their product range fits into relevant applications across all the sectors we service for customers in the UK and Europe. It will also help our resellers differentiate their solutions."
Maxatec has strong technical expertise and resource which is the envy of their competitors. They offer a range of services such as in house repairs, on-site service and ongoing maintenance contracts as well as various logistical services.
