BlueStar to add Philips MMD to its digital signage product portfolio

BlueStar, global distributor of ADC, Mobility, Point-of-Sale, RFID, Digital Signage, and ID & Security technology solutions, has signed an agreement to distribute Philips' Multimedia Displays (MMD) commercial digital signage solutions in the US and Canadian markets, with other global regions to follow in 2011.

"The brand and manufacturing strength of Philips MMD makes their product line attractive to resellers across point-of-sale, government and commercial retail," said Gary Childress, director of digital signage at BlueStar. "By taking on Philips MMD we are advancing digital signage opportunities for our value-added resellers and enabling them to offer an even more diverse range of digital signage solutions for their customers."

BlueStar will begin by distributing the Philips MMD 32" to 65" commercial panels and accessories. Resellers of Philips MMD products will benefit from BlueStar value-adds, such as customized software options, integrated PCs and Media Players,  extended warranties, installation services, marketing and business development, and vertical-specific integrated product bundles.
